Hi all,by a small miracle Phil and I found some good seeing for a few
minutes late this afternoon - we'd both been watching Jupiter since 10am
this morning and had all but given up on any chance to see detail, but
there was a period of a few minutes only of thermal equilibrium just
before sunset. Unfortunately we couldn't catch the Juno perijove
longitude, but the GRS and Oval BA make for a nice 2nd prize.
In this IR image you can see a compact dark spot in the wake behind the
GRS,which still shows quite strong turbulence.
