解説（安達）
プエルトリコのEfrain Morales Rivera氏の観測では、火星の正午の時間帯
ですでにOlympia Monsに明瞭な雲の出ている様子が記録されている。また、
低緯度地方に見られる氷晶雲も非常にはっきりととらえられている。Tharsisの成
層火山の白雲は目立つほどではない。これはここしばらく同じ傾向が見られている。
北極地方も相変わらず黄色いままだ。
南オーストラリアのMilika-Nicholas氏は非常に素晴らしい観測報告を送られ
てきた。暗色模様の様子もさることながら、それによると、北極冠付近には白雲が
広がるものの、極冠自体ははっきりと見えている。
夕暮れのErysiumにも白雲がかかり、台地全体と成層火山にかかる白雲の両方
が見えている。Hellas 盆地は明け方の位置で、白雲に覆い尽くされている様子
が記録された。
By the observation of Mr. Efrain Morales Rivera, the Martian
state that the clear cloud appears in Olympia Mons at noon is
recorded. In addition, water ice cloud seen in the region in a
low latitude district is recorded very clearly. The white cloud of
the stratovolcano in Tharsis is not bright so as to attract attention.
As for this state, here spreads out for a while. The North remains
yellow as ever, too.
A very splendid observation report has been sent to
Mr. Milika-Nicholas. The state of the dark color design is very
splendid. According to it, white cloud spreads through the
neighborhood of NPC, but sees the polar cap itself clearly.
White cloud hangs in Erysium of dusk, and both white cloud
hanging to the whole plateau and the stratovolcano are seen.
In the Hellas basin, a state covered for white cloud exhaustively
at a position of the early morning was recorded.

気流が良いと、模様のコントラストが格段に上がる。800倍で見てもシルチスは黒くはっきり見える。残念なことに、輪郭をはっきりつかめるほどのシーイングではないため、今一つ見極めることはできなかった。ヘラスは白く見えるが、若干黄色っぽいようにも感じる。

Here are our first images of Mars for the 2016 apparition captured on 12th January 2016.
We have been hampered by extremely cloudy condition & poor seeing but this image of Mars at the small apparent size of 6.0 arc-seconds does reveal some reasonable details...
Syrtis Major, the N & S Polar regions & cloud over the Elysium region,possibly over Elysium Mons.
This was captured just after the Sun had risen: hopefully when the weather improves & Mars disk size & brightness increases we will be able to achieve much greater resolution.
