Clyde Foster氏の画像では、Solis Lacusの東側に小さな雲がいくつもできている様
子が記録された。堀内氏の画像は、南極フードの周りに暗く良く晴れた部分が取り巻くさ
まが良く記録されている。
With the image of Mr. Clyde Foster,the state that some small clouds
produced on the east side of Solis Lacus was recorded. As for the image
of Mr. Horiuchi,the state that the gloomy parts which it was fine well
around SP hood surround is recorded well.

As noted in my last email,it has been a real battle to try and get anything decent over the last week with the weather and seeing conditions. I did get a bit of a gap last night before the clouds came in and attach the images. I am still going to try and get something out of the data I have collected over the last week,but due to the poor quality may submit as per this format(an L and IR image,or ebven just IR). If things improve,I will resort to either RGB or decomposing the L image again. Enjoy the Opposition nonetheless!

今回はコンパクトデジカメを使って、1枚記録写真を撮ってみた。写真は、西の
ターミネーターから広がる、明るいベールをきれいに記録してくれた。最近の火星面は
いつもこのようなベールが見える。時間とともに幅が変化する様子が見られる。
Hellespontusあたりに明るく目立つ白い雲が際立っている。南極フードよりも
明るく見えるときが多く、一見して南極冠かと思うばかりである。しかし、日没に
なると急激に明るさは落ち、南極フードだけになる。
最終観測の時、Solis Lacusのすぐ西に非常に明るい雲が見えてきた。

Equippment was a 150/1800 Mak (Skywatcher),2-x Barlow Lens and
ALCCD5L-IIc. 15000 Images captured in 300 seconds,(mid of video
is 23:18:51 UT) with Firecapture,75% used with Autostakkert2,
including 1,5x Drizzel,Image processing with Giotto 2.21.
Seeing was stable with 5/10,Transparency 5-6/10.
