解説（安達）
いよいよ最接近の日となった。Efrain Morales Rivera氏は山岳雲の非常によ
くわかる画像を送ってきた。それによるとOlympus Mons付近は、弱風である。
Tharsisの3つの成層火山の雲は一番北側にあるAscraeus Monsで弱く北側に
流されている様子が記録された。
Randy B. Christensen氏の画像からはElysium Monsは再び無風になっている
様子がわかる。
Milika-Nicholas氏の画像は南極冠の縁のようなイメージの画像が送られてきた。
残念ながらＩＲやＲの画像がなく、はっきりしたことは分からない。
It was finally a day of the closest approach. Mr. Efrain Morales Rivera
sent an image to understand well very much of orographic cloud.
According to it, the neighborhood of Olympus Mons is a breeze.
As for the cloud of three stratovolcanos of Tharsis, a state drained
into the north side weakly most in Ascraeus Mons in the north side
was recorded.
Randy B. Elysium Mons understands a state becoming windless from
an image of Mr. Christensen again.
An image of the SPC's looking such as the relationship has been sent
to the image of Mr. Milika-Nicholas. Unfortunately there is not an image
of IR and R and does not understand it clearly.

was poor,but transparency was good.

The seeing was not terribly good with a lot of "slow-seeing" distortion &
clouds everywhere - we were imaging from home which is unusual for us - but
well after culmination when Mars was just above 60° the seeing settled
considerably to allow us to take these captures...
Of particular interest was the fact that in the blue channel onscreen
images,a bright "streak of cloud" was easily seen...this appeared to have
one extremity located in the general area of Utopia but stretched virtually
from one limb to the other...both the b & rgb images display this
phenomenon.

今日から、双眼装置を使っての観測となった。ニュートン式の望遠鏡でピントが
出るのか心配していたが、確実にピントを出すことができてホッとした。
しかし、肝心の火星は思い切りseeingが悪く、効果のほどは確かめられなかった。
しかし、片眼よりもはるかに安心して覗くことができるようだ。
