The last weeks have been terrible here. We were having the NE monsoon again.
Fortunately the rain stopped on Jupiter's Opposition day! Transparency was poor though because of clouds.
Seeing was variable and I was able to salvage some data to get these images.
The SEB outbreak can be seen and it still very turbulent. The outbreak area is bright in Methane band just north of Oval BA.
Oval BA's orange ring is prominent.

Hi all,here's a colour image of Jupiter from this morning. The GRS is
rising at lower left and the orange ring of Oval BA can be seen just
right of centre in the SEB.

昨夜は衝(黄経)でした。
日中は天気が悪く、夕方には小雨もパラついたようですが、
日没後に数時間の晴れ間が訪れ、スケッチを取ることができました。
ただし、シーイング、透明度とも悪かった。

At last we have had some decent seeing in the UK with detail visible for periods of time between gentle swirling turbulence.
This seems to have suited AS2! better than the recent seeing and fine detail could be brought out.
