Hi all, poor seeing this morning due to jetstream. The only viable option was the 750nm longpass filter and lots of patience.
Here we can see Oval BA at lower right and a compact bright spot to its left in the STZ.
The bright spot was quite striking in the raw data - I checked WinJupos to be sure it wasn't a moon.
I guess it must be the top of a convective storm... ?

Hi all,one additional image taken through a methane filter to show cloud altitudes.
Again the spot that was bright in visible and IR is also extremely bright in this filter as well.
Oval BA to the right also shows as bright due to its high altitude clouds.
The NEB still shows a distinct pattern of high and low altitude structure, and high altitude haze is visible at the poles.

Imaged Jupiter Feb 4th on poor seeing.Have resolved a bright concentrated spot trailing Oval BA in the STB.
This spot is resolved best in IR but still easily seen in R and RGB.

A couple of IR685 images of the outbreak source.

The STB outbreak source is clearly visible as a small brilliant spot.
