Hi all,two more images from May 23 - a colour image and a methane (CH4)
absorption image, both captured in good seeing.
The GRS is close to the centre in these images, and a compact bright
storm can be seen in the NEB at approximately the same longitude.

I had an interesting imaging run today. When I started imaging,it was very hazy and transparency was poor.
The haze slowly dissipated. As I was doing my 2nd run, thunderclouds appeared out of nowhere!
Seeing was fair today. The GRS is well resolved in these images. The STrD is still pushing towards the GRS.
The wake of the GRS is very turbulent with multiple outbreaks. The methane band image of this wake looks very interesting.
The South Polar Red Spot can also be seen below the GRS. There is a bright outbreak on the NEB. [Christopher Go : Cebu Philippines]

Have some rather nice data from May 23rd.
There is considerable detail,in particular a bright condensed spot in the NEB and a small red spot down on the edge of the SPR.
I also note several very small dark spots just below the STrB. [Trevor Barry:Broken Hill:Australia]

Hello here is a set average/good conditions with impressive IR-bright central part of the festoon passing the CM.

With Juno at perijove and Jupiter at opposition it doesn't really matter that Jupiter doesn't rise any higher than 19 degrees and most of the time resembles a fuzzball,
you just have to get out there and image! These are three of my latest attempts and I'm quite happy with them considering the difficult conditions.
I now use a 25 cm Newtonian f/5 on an EQ5 mount which works well,
the optics seem sharper than my previous 22 cm Newt and the image scale is a bit better. Seeing has been no more than mediocre at best and the dispersion is a problem, but it is corrected quite well with an ADC. [Johan Warell:Lindby:Sweden]
