解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi
Longitude centered around 0 ° west longitude, the outline of SPC can be seen well, but it is hard to see with other longitude. From the image
of Clyde Foster, you can see the complicated appearance of SPC well. Hellas was somewhat reddish. You can see the east side of
Deucarionis dark below the dust veil.

Watercolor of Mars
(black pen HB and blending stump on white paper plus coloration via Paint)
made with my Mewlon 250/2500.
The usage of the UHC filter imporve a little bit the contast through the storm.
Hellespontus and Hellas bassin were visible only with this filter,
out of that only the South area was detected.

The pre-dawn session centred on Arabia and S Sabeaus(what there is visible of it!) SPC is showing a bit of complex structure.

The attached shows a comparison of Mars three days apart.
In the latter image, the polar caps seem a little clearer.
Note that Olympus Mons (right) and Ascraeus Mons (left)
appear to be present as dark patches in the 4th of July image,
just north of the centre.
[Mark Lonsdale : [Canberra,Australia]
Dust storm still hide Mars surface,we can detect Syrtis Major,
Hellespontus,Mare Tyrrhenum and Hellas very bright.
Looks like that a left portion of SPC start be under a storm.

[Gary Walker:Georgia:USA]
Hellas and Syrtis Major are prominent in this view,
and the dark areas N of the S Polar cap around L=300 are striking.
