very poor seeing and cloudy night. It was very difficult to capture mars.
[Du Jin Kim,South Korea]
Olympus Mons is very prominent at lower left.
I am not sure, but I suspect possible mixed cloud activity in Amazonis (towards the terminator, just below the latitude of OM).
[Clyde Foster:Centurion,South Africa]
Poor transparency & return of the winter jet stream, but finally a patch of clear sky to work with in September!
Been overcast and rainy all month here.
[Robert Heffner:Osaka,Japan]
This image of Mars features Hellas and Syrtis Major.

Seeing and transparency conditions are better than the last two nights.
Spring started with clear sky in Sao Paulo,
good weather that will prevail for the next 3 days.
[Pericles Enache,Sao Paulo,Brazil]
Seeing continues to be mediocre at best.....no fine detail.
[Gary Walker:Georgia:USA]
21時過ぎから晴れ間が広がり撮像できました。気流は昨日と同じく良くありません。

Attached are two drawings of Mars I made on 23rd September using the University of Leicester's Observatory with Dr Hugh Sasse.
Drawing 1 was made in reasonable conditions, however by the time of drawing 2 the seeing had started to fall off.
Points of interest include:
- SPC now small and rather obscure.
- Mare Chronium seen
- Electric and Eridania showing some brightness
- Mare Cimmerium shows some interesting details in drawing 1.
- Phlegra and Aetheria visible but not particularly notable.
- Elysium seems to be rather dull
