解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi
I was overwhelmed by the image of Mr. Simon Kidd. The area around Eridania, which Mr. Stanislas Maksymowicz pointed out
the day before, is bright but normal. Syrtis Major is thinly recorded, showing that the situation where the east and west are
difficult to see is still continuing. NPCs have been recorded, including images by Mr. Manos Kardasis. From the image, you can see
the uneven brightness due to the clouds.

A shot from last night, after our long spell of rain and high winds.
Some interesting clouds in high northern latitudes (North is down in this image).
I also took some shots of Mars using my new 'B&Q' apodising screen.
The conditions were changing rapidly so a true comparison was not really possible....but results were at least comparable, from what I could see.
What it doesn't seem to do (at least on first showing) is to improve the 'edge rind' effect so common with the smaller planets....unfortunately!
Whether or not the moderate loss of light/high shutter speed is made up for by increased contrast remains to be seen.
May be good for helping separate close double stars,we'll see.

In poor conditions. Mars is under 5 arc secs.
...seems like North Polar Cap is coming in to view?
