Here is a report of Mars performed with the 150mm refractor under average images sometimes good but on short periods.
The cloud/hazze on the Solis Lacus,Thaumasia,Sinai area was seen as a brightness extension with the red W29 filter.
The contour was difficult to locate,the surface on concern gave a significant brightness with all filters W8,W11,W80A.
The other brightnesses were noted as possible with the filter on concern.
Difficult to say more with regards the conditions on time.
