I just managed a single RGB this morning, which didn't come out too badly.

Another attempt at Jupiter this morning, unfortunately in quite bad seeing conditions.

寒い朝でした。地上の風は収まりましたが、
上空の乱れはまだまだです。

シーイングはまだまだですが、だいぶ高く昇るようになりました。
電線の密集地帯からあと少しで抜け出せそうです。

Imaged Jupiter March 16th in quite nice seeing for the altitude.
All data was captured with Jupiter below 40 degrees.
I note the quite extravagant festoon in the EZ,the chimney above the GRS is most definitely open. Of great interest is the morphology of the SEB either side of the GRS.
To the P side of the GRS the SEB is quite smooth but to the F side is chaotic and seems 3 dimensional.
Within this structure there appear to be high altitude plumes, these are well seen in the Ch4 data.
The Sun is shining on the surface from the F side and the these plumes seem to have shadow thrown to the P side indicating the height of these structures.
When comparing these data with my data from March 11th the structure to the F side of the GRS has evolved significantly.

Seeing was good when I started imaging.
I started taking IR and CH4 images thinking that seeing would even be better when Jupiter gets higher.
Unfortunately, seeing deteriorated as the sun was about to rise.

Oval BA can be seen in these images. It is still white.
The SEBn is very active while the rest of the SEB looks pale.
The mid=EZ is very bright in methane band this year.
The NEB is dark and narrow.
