Exactly one month before solar conjunction, this is possibly my final view of the GRS for the apparition ,
and the year, as Jupiter heads into the sunset (literally!).
The RGB and IR data was a write-off under terrible seeing conditions. Again a pity as this view is centred on the upcoming PJ31 track.

It's maybe a fitting image, with the GRS shining like a beacon of resilience in CH4.
The planet has certainly kept many of us enthralled during a very difficult year for so many.
Thanks to all of you for the wonderful interaction during the year.
Enjoy your New Year safely and I hope the coming year will be better for all of us.

A happy New Year to you all!

I had a relook at the data from 29 December that I had originally written off.
Due to very low contrast and resultant extreme stretching, there are artefacts due to any blemishes on the sensor.
I decided to submit them anyway due to the dearth of other images.

Anyway, they (supposedly!) show the PJ31 track towards the left.
The only obvious feature is the festoon above the GRS, which I anticipate should be seen by Juno?

I have limited circulation as these really are not good images and have included the previously circulated CH4 for completeness.
