解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi
The dust storm appears to be slowly moving eastward while spreading from the north side of the Mare Sirenum (140W to 170W,-30).
It will be on the veil in a day or two and it will be less clear. Mars is widely covered with dust veil. The map did not cover the entire
circumference of Mars, but it did catch a big trend. The south polar cap is donut shaped. The volcanic clouds of Tharsis
( 80W ~ 120W,+ 10) are still remarkable.

Despite a frustrating and persistent edge artefact,
I would like to think that I have been able to monitor the yellowish clouds
(above centre, which I suspect to have at least some dust component)
that have moved from Zepheria/Aeolis towards Memnonia for a third consecutive day.
From what I have seen,I expect them to gradually dissipate further.
Bright cloud continues over the Tharsis Montes at left.

The times when we have imaged Mars continue to produce very poor results due to poor seeing & this morning was no exception to that situation...
we ran 4 r-g-b sequences & none rose above "lousy" but the last was the best of this bad bunch...
Would not have posted except for the fact that there appears to be 3 distinct bright-ish patches in the Chryse - Xanthe - Ganges regions...
with the quality of the recordings & the processing it really could be anything,
including artefacts - but there appears to be some signs that it is more than such, although I am unaware of any reports in those areas.
Here's the image fwiw & another which is the same with a deep yellow photo-filter applied in CS4 to possibly enhance these particular "features."

Some moments of excellent seeing occurred on the 10th which gave the best result to date for the apparition.
A detailed view of Syrtis Major, Hellas and Elysium.
