Comment by Makoto Adachi
Clyde Foster
(Olympus Mons;135W,+25)
Mr. Clyde Foster's image shows the atmosphere very well. A clear area and an area where dust is spread are well represented
in the color tone, and such an image is desired. This image was important for determining the westward extent of
the dust storm. Olympus Mons (135W,+25) is clearly recorded in red and black on the terminator. If there was a dust storm,
it would have changed. At least it doesn't seem to have arrived so far.
Mr. Niall MacNeill has been reported invaluable images. The body of the dust storm seems to be in the Chryse (35W, +10) direction.
A small bright part can be seen to the south of the Acidarium, but I would like to pay attention to future changes. The dust storm that
progressed to the south diffused and formed a wide bright part in the east and west at the location of Mare Erythraeum (0W~55W, -30).
In the image of Mr. Sasaki, Nochis (335W-10W, -25--30) recorded the dust storm that occurred on the 28th spreading to the south.
The image is small, so I don't know the details.

A quick image set from this morning. Although all the excitement(dust storms in and S/SW of Valles Marineris) has already rotated into the dark,
it’s always worthwhile (as Richard McKim has mentioned to me many times) keeping an eye on what's happening elsewhere.
Olympus Mons is just in view at lower left. In the IR there is a feature SW of OM that looks a bit unfamiliar (Eumenides region?).
I'm also afraid this may add some fuel to the fire of the recent comments on the colouration of the SPC.
I fully appreciate that I am still learning like a hound dog,and can only process as best I know how at this stage.
Plenty still to learn, and I might just have to have a look at Damian’s latest tutorials…...
On a more personal note,I may be putting out a few less images than normal,
as it looks like I may have picked up another chest cold (all rather disconcerting given what's happening in this area and the country),
and I am being ultra-conservative in terms of getting plenty of rest and continue to self-isolate as best I can.
Hopefully come out the other side quickly and be back to full speed for the Jupiter and Saturn oppositions in July.
