解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi
 Clyde Foster

The image of Mr. Clyde Foster shows the state of Mars today. In particular, the limb is orange from north to south, indicating that
the north and south are equally dusty. The image of Mr. Ioannis A. Bouhras records the fading location of the dust veil. It is the darkened area.
Mr. Dmitry W. von Aichegg's image records dust spreading yellow in the east and west near Hellesponticae (330W-10W,-65).
Probably dust scattered by the edge dust storm.

Low res result from this morning. Given the conditions,
I had to allow saturation of the SPC to get out what I could but was interested to see what this area,
where there has been recent dust activity, was looking like.

Ioannis A. Bouhras
Bad seeing conditions. I had to overexpose the pole to show some

The seeing was really quite good for about 20 minutes before deteriorating as the sky became lighter.
Mare Eryhtraeum appears to be darker on the Aurorae Sinus side,
and somewhat diminished in contrast towards the Margaritifer Sinus side.
Nectar can be seen reaching away from Erythraeum towards the morning limb.
The morning limb itself seems bright with mist.
To the south,Argyre is bright, maybe a little dusty.
The SPC has a darker mark inside it towards the terminator, the Lowell band is dark.
To the North Sinus Sabeus is also dark, but not easy to separate from Pandorae Fretum,
and contrast in this region seems low with features more difficult to confirm than usual.
Niciliacus Lacus is also washed out and pale.
NPH seems to reach well onto the disc, and is yellower than the SPC.
Xanthe is bright, but not dusty in colour.

Mars under correct conditions, with Terra Meridiani and Arabia Terra at central meridian.
South polar cap is reducing during austral spring.
