12時（UT）を過ぎるころからシーイングは回復してきた。この時期、空気は爽やかだが、
上空大気はかなり暴れているので、ピントの山がつかみにくい。
F7.6に比べF5は特に顕著に思われる。シンチレーションもF5のほうがひどい。

This is my first submission of observations to ALPO Japan. I have been a Mars observer since 1971,
and I have been the Astronomical Observer at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles since 1978.
For these images I used my 10-inch (25.4 cm) f/7.6 Cave-Astrola Newtonian reflector.
I used two Barlow lenses to yield an effective focal length of 11,000 mm.
Seeing changed from 4 to 6 out of 10 during my observations,but the air transparency was good,9/10.
I used a ZWO ASI 290 MC camera and processed selected video frames with FireCapture v2.608,AutoStakkert3,Registax6,and PhotoShop CS2.
Please let me know if there is any problem in my preparation of this data for your use. I hope that observations from my longitude (118 deg. West) will be useful.

久しぶりにほぼ快晴になりました。

Not the greatest conditions for opposition night,but better than the recent cloud. With it being a long,
5h session (including Jupiter and Saturn),I eventually lost the battle with dew before Mars got to greatest elevation,
thanks to the recent rains. Talking about clouds,there was cloud visible extending almost all the way around the limb of the planet.
Solis Lacus at upper left with the Valles Marineris complex below it. Olympus Mons is bright to the right of lower centre.

木星が見えていたのでセッティングした途端に木星はずっと動かない雲の中。
代わって東の大きな晴れ間に火星が輝いていたので、撮影を始めたのですが、結局1枚きりでした。
少し早い時間なので、気流状態はあまりよくありません。

補正板を外したあとの取り付けがうまくいかないのか、南極冠の写りが良くないのでカラー合成はボツにした。
BE410画像の模様とR画像での地表模様が一致し始めている。

カラーは薄化粧と厚化粧を二種類添付します。右側のリムのところの濃い暗部はAMECの影だと近内さんに教えて頂きました。

よく晴れていたので、安心して長い時間観測できた。シルチスは青っぽい霧におおわれていた。朝霧も顕著で、南半球は青っぽく見える。
口径が５ｃｍあがっただけで、ずいぶん色が見えるようになった。B47で見ると、南半球中緯度は良く晴れている。また、朝霧が明るく見える。
可視光では、特に明るい部分は見えないが、B$'だと、局部的に明るくなっているところが見えてくる。TempeからTharsis付近は赤っぽく見えた。

We continue our "special project" this apparition of creating annotated disk maps of Mars as opposed to the projection maps that are everywhere on the internet...
we do this because we feel that (especially for AA imagers) it is an excellent "ready reckoner" when people are imaging & want a quick appraisal of what they are viewing onscreen & after processing of their captures,encouraged by feedback from numerous people agreeing such presentations are worthwhile.
Here at opposition we see the Aurorae Sinus almost on the C.M. with many other features resolved,in annotated & un-annotated 150% of capture scale images,as well as the rgb & individual filter captures at 100% (capture) scale. Some maps re-annotate features but only as references when another image in the series shows similar features. ;)

１１日(UT)と１３日(UT)は Seeing がまぁまぁでしたが、１２日(UT)のものは Seeingが最悪でに南中近くになっても改善しませんでした。
北半球の高緯度付近に白雲(?)が立ち篭めて北極冠と見間違えるようです・・・・・？

Sharing a Mars image from October 13 as well as three more recent.
Weather〓has been absolutely〓horrible here - warm but windy,cloudy and very turbulent.
The month following opposition just disappeared under a nearly constant cloud deck,without any imaging possible.
