Conditions were not particularly good this morning as Oval BA was approaching the limb at lower right.
I note the impressive festoon in the IR and also there are some lighter patches (ovals?) in the STB.

Here is my first image of the new Jupiter apparition. Average seeing.
The most striking thing by far when seeing the planet for the first time this season is
just how dramatically dark the northern section of the Equatorial Zone has become in B filter
(giving rise to the strong orange colouration in this region) - its almost as dark as the North Equatorial Belt!

Hi all, here's an image of Jupiter from this morning, seeing was not
great and there were some clouds around so I only had a chance to use
the 750nm longpass filter. This is a combination of images taken between
1916utc and 1936utc. The shadow of Io is faintly visible near the left
limb as it comes across near the end of recording.
