April and May is suppose to be the best time for imaging planets here in Cebu.
This is our dry season. But this year we have a very wet dry season. I have finally been able to get some decent images of Jupiter.
Seeing was excellent but transparency was very poor as I had to image though clouds!

Both the NEB and the SEB are very pale in this season.
It is very interesting to see the dark ovals on the mid NEB and the white oval on the NEBn.
There seems to be an outbreak on the NEBs at the CM. Note the WSZ is bright in methane band! The EZ has the reddish hue.

Hi all, here's an image of Jupiter from this morning showing the GRS as
it moves toward setting at lower right. This is a combination of 4 x
IR650 longpass images taken in reasonable seeing about 30 minutes before

Attached are a set of images from surprisingly not-very-good conditions (forecast was very good).
The GRS is setting, but the methane captures some bright material
that has quite likely peeled from the GRS towards the South Tropical Band in preceding days.
The map comparison animated GIF shows it is close to III 140deg/-21deg,
and sits on the north edge of the dark patch in RGB immediately p. the GRS.
