I was not expecting anything this morning as high cloud cover was forecast,
and there was also a very strong jetstream.
But I got up to check as the EZ feature was due to transit and found the sky was reasonably clear
so I concentrated on capturing a long string of CH4 and UV videos.
I believe the jetstream still did a lot of damage,and I had to be selective with the data,and even so,
all the results are low res.
I quickly grabbed a single IR and RGB for additional context,before heading back inside to warm up.
I have included an over processed version of the CH4 to try and capture the extent of the feature,
which shows as a dark bulge in the UV.
Not great data I am afraid.
Agustin,I doubt very much if any of this will be of value in terms of the altitude assessments.
If you do want me to send the best raw stacked CH4 and UV images,let me know.
But hoping for better conditions in coming days,and hopefully the feature will stay active!

大赤斑が中央です。視直径も大きくなったのを実感します

Hi all,improved seeing conditions this morning,a nice change from the
last several days. Here are three images of Jupiter through 7590
longpass,CH4 and RGB filters. The GRS is prominent at lower left,
showing quite a bit of activity.

観測開始時は、積雲が頻繁に通過し、そのたびにシーイングは２くらいに
低下した。観測しづらかったが、その後晴れてきた。２枚目の観測に入る
頃には、シーイング６くらいで安定した。
GRSはアーチに囲まれているが、アーチの南に赤色がはみ出して見える。
フレークが下のアーチの上を乗り越えて、南に少し広がっているものと
思われる。シーイングの良い時にだけ見えていた。
GRSの見える付近のNEBは活動的で、暗部がかなりある。というか、暗部が
切れていると言った方が適当かもしれない。それに伴い、festoonは形の
はっきりしたものが見えるようになっている。経度による違いだろう。EB
は若干、幅が広く、色も淡く感じる。

19 h 19 m 40 s(UT)のものは１ショットでの画で大赤斑の内部模様が捉えられているような気がしましたので・・・・・・。
この日は薄雲が懸かっていたのですが、意外と細部まで撮像できて驚いています・・・・・・
