Christopher Go
We had horrible monsoon weather.
The sky cleared this evening but it was hazy so transparency was poor and seeing was variable.
I used 2 cameras to image.
The first color image was taken using the QHY462C camera while the second image was taken using the QHY290M.

These images show the region that was imaged by Juno.
The STB shows the remnant of the STB outbreak I discovered a few months ago.
Note the turbulent area on the SEB. On the last images, the GRS can be seen rising on the left.
The NEB looks very pale.

Conditions were fair for this set of images, the rgb's one hour separated.

Although somewhat beset by clouds early on I was able to capture a decent view of the PJ37 path,
but not quite timing the image to have the Juno equatorial transit at the CM.
The seeing was surprisingly good and the resolution, therefore pretty good as well.

In the 2nd image,I have marked where I think the approximate position of the Juno equatorial transit took place.
I am not sure of the timing of the transit on the 16th of October, which I presume was Universal Time/ Date.
Nevertheless this image must have been acquired within at most 10 hours of it.

There is good detail of the internal structure of NN-LRS-1 in the north and
what I presume is the oval A7 in the SSTB and S4-LRS-1 to the south.

I have data from later as yet unprocessed but the Perijove path had substantially rotated out of view by the time I made those captures.

This is the second tranche of images after the first image I sent through earlier today,
where the PJ37 path was reasonably central.

The first RGB image is about 10 mins later and the detail is perhaps a bit better,
with more data included and the seeing holding up well.
The IR642nm BP images were more affected by diffuse cloud and so about 5 mins later again,
the early images being not worth integrating.

I then went on to have a good Methane Band run before going back to RGB and IR for a second time with the GRS rotating into view.
By this time the seeing was deteriorating.

Having said that and just seeing Andy's images coming through,I had by far the better of the seeing.
Amazing when you consider we are probably less than 100kms apart as the crow flies.

Thanks Trevor for your feedback on my first image and yes,
we obviously enjoyed the better of the seeing on the west side of the Great Dividing Range.

夕方までずっと降っていたのに、どういうわけか夜は快晴になりました。なぜだ!?
気づくのが遅れて、木星が西に傾いてから観測したので、シーイングは悪かったのですが、
大赤斑を見ることができました。

Some awful seeing and windy conditions for a small set on Saturday evening, with the perijove (and impact)
longitude just having set,and the GRS not far from rising.
The recent STB outbreak location is visible as a small dark streak in the second IR,
but otherwise there are few prominent features.
Clear skies,

Imaged Jupiter October 16th in good seeing targeting the track for PJ37.
The first 685nm IR data set has the track crossing the EZ at the CM.
I note the reported impact from October 15th occurred approx 18 hrs prior to these data at approx Lat+21 L2 201,L3 40.
There is a feature resolved in these R,G & B data at approx Lat+20.4 L2 210.7 it is a quite elongated oval
structure with a dark spot within it. Although resolved in R,G and B it is best seen in B.
Could this feature be related to the impact.

I was hoping to catch both the impact region (approx. 29hrs after impact) and the PJ37 track close to CM,
but with a cold front moving through, conditions were below average and I was eventually cut short by cloud.

In the captures I did manage, the impact region had just rotated into view and
I have indicated the approx location which is just above one of the NEBn barges.
