観測開始時は中程度のシーイングだったが、だんだん風が強くなってきた。
スリットの前から風が入る向きだったので、望遠鏡がかなり揺れて、観測にならなくなり、中止した。

Sinus Meridiani at centre and Hellas Basin bright at upper left.
More horrible edge rind I'm afraid.

under poor to average images.
The south cap was not seen,as well Syrtis Major covered by a misty veil.
The north polar hood is intense.
Veils at limb and terminator were plotted against the color channels.

This observation was made soon after sunset,〓once Mars could be located with the naked eye.
No sign of the SPC this afternoon,just a little mistiness at the south polar region.
Likewise,the strong impression of the NPC I had yesterday was not repeated today,
with just a thin band of mistiness present at the northern limb.
I was observing at a very different longitude this afternoon though,
and the same face of Mars would not be on display for another 4.5 hours.

Additional points of interest:
Yesterday I thought that the Mare Erythraeum region looked washed out,
however the contrast of the Maria appeared normal this afternoon with Syrtis Major,Minor,Sinus Sabaeus,
Pandorae Fretum,Deucalionis Regio,Hellespontus,and Mare Hadriacum all standing out well against the deserts.
Hellas appeared bright and rosy with thin white mist crossing it from the evening limb.
Grey mist noted present along the terminator,more obvious further north and south than at mid-disc.
Very bright white evening mist over Libya to the east of Syrtis major.
No sign of the bands of mist surrounding the south pole which were present last week.

Attempts to observe later in the evening to follow up yesterday's impressions of the polar caps were prevented first by cloudy skies,
then when it did clear the seeing was Ant V and nothing useful could be done.

Have attached here Mars IR images from the sessions on 09 and 10 January. Seeing conditions were usually most likely better drink and go to bed ones both nights,visually almost nothing could have been recognizable,but managed to squeeze out some detail with 1msec exposure,minimal ROI,averaged 306FPS,3% stacking for 92 thousand frames captured. Seems no particular change for the major features. I will chase the red planet more for a while in the hope of glimpsing some meteorological activities around the coming equinox season.
1月9日、10日の火星赤外光画像を添付いたします。両日とも高速アメーバのたくり火星像で眼視ではほぼ何も見えませんでした。露出を切り詰め、撮像範囲をギリギリに絞ってキャプチャー数を稼ぎ、30コマに1コマの比較的まともなところを選別スタックしてもらうと模様がけっこう出てきます。永久南極冠は写りませんが数日前のVMCに綺麗に写っていましたから健在と思います。南極域には雲かダストが漂っているようです。さらに像の拡散が入るような気流だと手の施しようがなくなります。B〜UV 画像も撮っていますがなにも写りません。春分/秋分の頃の気象現象を垣間見たいのでもうしばらく追いかけます。
