Average to poor seeing this evening.
In Integrated light the disc showed only the white strip of the NPC,
the white patch of the SPH,and a yellowish brightening on the evening limb.
Then in W21 the Maria could be painstakingly teased out in their〓most〓basic forms,
but I had to drop down to 461x as it just wouldn't〓take anything higher.
Then back to Integrated light〓at the end and things were surprisingly a little better,
some glimpses of the NPH merging with the mist along the northern〓part of the terminator, and extending 20 or 30° across the disc.
I also noted the SPH extending northwards along the terminator〓in a similar manner, albeit less far and less dramatic.

The sky was somewhat hazy but the seeing conditions were very good indeed, around AI-II for all of the observation.
As a result I was able to use a power of x600 to examine the Martian disk.
I was quite surprised just how much detail could be seen on a disk size of only 5.6".
Of course, some of these details were only really evident at x600. Points of interest include:
・SPR was fairly bright- the brightness seemed to have some curvature to it giving the appearance of the SPH
rather than just a vague bright region which is how the region has appeared fairly recently.
・Argyre I seemed to be a little brighter, Phrixi Regio seemed to be rather dark.
・Mare Erythraeum still shows some interesting subtle structure and did not appear to be uniform in appearance.
・Margaritifer Sinus seen- this may have been fractionally darker than Aurorae Sinus.
・Chryse seemed to be quite bright and contained- it seemed there were some bright clouds visible over the region.
・Acidalium was nicely presented- as Mars now presents a more northerly tilt, this features is easier to see.
・Sinus Meridiani was present on the prec. side of the disk and quite dark. There seemed to be bright clouds on the prec. limb.
・NPC quite bright and well defined- there did seem to be a thin line
(almost looking like a very thin Lowell band) immediately south of the NPC.
