解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi
Mares Erythraeum and Acidalium were blurry most of the time, standing out boldly in the odd good moment.
Acidalium appeared to have spines or fingers which I later realised were Oxus, Niliacus Lacus, and Nilokeras.
Aurorae Sinus appeared quite dark, Solis Lacus was just a blurry smudge,
and I caught sight of a halftone closing off the end of Xanthe (later realised it was Ganges, of course)
The NPC was bright and white with no sign of any surrounding mist.
The SPH was also bright and white.
Lastly there was bright mist on the limb near the equator and also a little bit of morning mist at the equator too.

Attached is a drawing of Mars made last night at x469 and x600 in excellent conditions.
The seeing was around AI-II with very good definition.
I don't think I can recall a period where we had such good conditions consistently for two or more consecutive weeks!
I am now observing the planet in twilight as it is too low down by the time it is fully dark.
Of course with the days getting longer,
it won't be too long before the planet becomes lost in the twilight for me.
Mars now only subtends an apparent diameter of 4.7", and so even the darkest albedo features don't show a lot of details.
There were a few things of note:
・SPR bright and hazy
・Mare Erythraeum the main feature to the south- interestingly,
the southern border of Erythraeum was very dark and the darkest feature on the disk.
The rest of Erythraeum was not uniform and seemed darker on the prec. side.
・There seemed to be bright clouds on the prec. limb around the equator.
Chryse also seemed to be quite bright this evening.
・Acidalium seemed to be darkest in the south, to the north it was vague and hard to see in places.
・The NPC was bright- slight curvature now to the Lowell band as the northerly tilt increases.

Here is a mars report performed last 28th april with the 203mm cassegrain.
Images were average, sometimes almost good.
Brightenings were plotted against the main features only possible for capturing.
White haze on Sinus〓Sabaeus on the limb, on Arcadia,
Tractus Albus and Tharsis at the terminator, on Hellespontus on the limb.
The North cap well seen white bright and white haze on the south polar cap area.
Chryse -Xanthe not bright.
