This is a derotation of four stacked images from 90 seconds videos.
From my latitude,Jupiter came back to 50 degrees above horizon and this has been very cool,
after years of struggling in low elevation airmass.
The planet showed me many upcoming news: since my last take,a month ago,I noticed a very rich SEB!
The EZ washed out from orange to pale yellow.
The NEB seems to be regaining thickness.

Seeing good,very good transparency

This morning I imaged Jupiter in the IR,and while conditions were very poor, with low transparency,
and I was sufficiently intrigued by a dark marking in the NEB on the p side to process this image straight away to send to you,in case it is something interesting.
It is at 13 L1.

Attached is an observation of Jupiter made on 18th July the University of Leicester Observatory.
At the moment, most of the complex details seem to lie in the southern hemisphere.
Two white ovals were seen in the STB,
the SEB(s) looks somewhat irregular and is composed of complex patches rather than a fairly uniform straight line.

There were some striking festoons in the EZ and the NEB contained some complex rifts,
the one near the CM was rather bright.
Even in the 20" telescope,
the NTB appears a thin golden band which is hard to see, while there seemed to be a darker section in the regions further north.

As the drawing was started,Io emerged from behind the following limb.
