12日ぶりに晴れ間が広がり木星を撮影できました。
風も弱く気流もそれほど悪くない状態でした。ＢＡが見える位相でした

その後しばらくたって2枚目以降は気流も良くなりました。

夜中になって久しぶりにほぼ全天の晴天でした。気流も良く、チムニーも写りました。
北西から大きな雲が来たので、2枚目のカラーは、早めに撮りました

この時期としては好シーイングだったのですが、２セット目に入った時から
雲が出て気流状態も悪化しました

Some rare clear skies,and even a little fair seeing (by 2022 standards anyway!) for this set on 15th October.
The region preceding Oval BA,with the dark segment DS7 (remnants of Clyde’s Spot)
on the meridian for the first image. Bluish WS6 is rising,and does not look quite as well-defined as last year.
The white spot on the STB just preceding Oval BA is now quite prominent in the methane band!
It’s now one of the brighter features in the methane band on the planet,
and it is the only other methane-bright oval on the STB apart from Oval BA.
I noted this oval in September,and looking back at past images,the oval was not present up to April 2022.
In RGB,it formed (at least clearly to amateur images) in mid-late May - a dark patch in mid-May,
then a distinct dark-ringed oval by the end of the month.
It’s first visible in methane by early July,grows brighter through August,and has been reasonably bright since September.
It has moved from being quite near BA to being close to WS6. How long will it stay bright in methane,will it be a long-lived STB oval?

昨夜は晴れで今夜は悪いという予報でしたが、真逆になりました。最近の天気予報は外れてばかりです。
最初は雲間からの観測でしたが、後に快晴になり、シーイングも秋としては上々でした。
大赤斑前方のSTrBはとても淡くなっています。一方、フックやアーチは濃く明瞭なので、
今後復活するのかもしれません。
大赤斑北のNEBはリフトで明るくなっていてdetailがかなりあり、模様の確認に骨が折れます

Condition was terrible today due to a tropical storm on the northern tip to the Philippines.
I imaged two session. The first session shows Oval BA while the send session shows the GRS.
The chimney above the GRS is open. The NEB is almost fully revived.

Nearly a month past opposition and Jupiter is now ready for imaging by early evening.
Did a 90-minute session last Friday - started off with fairly good seeing that fell back to just average by the time I took my IR shots.
Went inside for a little break and when I came back out the seeing was worthless so packed it in.

In both shots the most prominent features are Oval BA preceded by the whiter but less circumscribed WS6.
A nice looping festoon along NEBn has just finished transiting in the color shot,
while a blue-grey festoon is attached to the south side of the NEB preceding the meridian.
In the IR the blue-grey festoon rivals a shadow transit in intensity.
