There was a total lunar eclipse today.
The crazy thing was that the moon was covered with clouds but Jupiter was clear.
I had my C8 pointed at the moon and my C14 was imaging Jupiter.
Seeing was average but transparency was variable. Unfortunately for the eclipse,
I was only able to capture the last few minutes of totality!
Oval BA can be seen in these images. Note the orange ring inside Oval BA.
There is a complex white streak on the SEB.
The NEBs/EZn is very active with the dark blue festoons interacting with the NEB.
The methane band image shows a complex north polar hood which is pushing south!

皆既月食を横目で眺めながら観測しました。
NEB南部はまだ活動的なようで、青黒い暗部や細かい凹凸がたくさんありました。
天王星の潜入も見ることができました。暗赤色の月と青緑色の天王星のコントラストが美しかった。
月がものすごいスピードで動いているのを実感しました

attached 2 images from last night under poor seeing conditions.
To be noted the overall pale/brownish colour of the planet.
There is an oblique dark streak in the S polar region,which I haven't noticed in any recent images.

観測室の外に10cm屈折赤道儀を置いて友人と月食を見ながらの撮影でした。

A very brief session on lunar eclipse night - while waiting for the Moon to rise above the house,
and before clouds came in to spoil the party anyway.
It was the best seeing for me of 2022 (which is faint praise),
but in my rush to grab the RGB before clouds covered Jupiter,
I missed focus and the image isn’t quite as sharp.
The STB bluish white spot WS6 is near the meridian,and looks quite poorly defined on the edges.
