Tsuyoshi Arakawa
透明度は良かったものの気流状態が悪く、撮影した大部分がボツになりました。

Two different methods to obtain a color pic of Mars.
The first color image is obtained combining b/w stacked images taken with two filters (IR and Blue, separately) used as R and B channel (G = R+B).
The last color image,it's a simple color 16-bit image taken with UV/IRcut. ADC used in each shot.
The results are different: the first method show better details than the other (fogs and polar caps) and enhanced contrast/color.
The same number of images (best 2000) are stacked in each mode and the same wavelet/unsharp mask power used in both.
The seeing was poor (4-5/10) so I used only 20% of images taken.

My impression on Tuesday morning was that Hellas seemed quite bright and yellow with fallen dust.
Hellespontus was visible,although perhaps faded.
Argyre was also yellow with dust but not so bright as Hellas.
Mare Erythraeum seemed dusty towards the morning limb.
Chryse seemed bright and yellow with fallen dust.
Niliacus Lacus also seemed dusty towards the limb.
Sinus Meridiani / Margaritifer Sinus looked normal in shape but perhaps faded.
The protrusion at Oxia Palus seemed the same shape as last year.
Duecalionis Regio was indistinguishable from Pandorae Fretum as both were equally grey.
Lastly the NPH was broad and bright white, but a small notch of bluish-grey showed through over Mare Acidalium (Dawes Slit?)
