2枚目までは冬としては最高のシーイングでした。
NEBがイボだらけの様相です。
3枚目は雲間からの2ショット合成です。

雲はあるものの良いシーイングに恵まれ、この後に大赤班を撮れると
期待していたですが残念ながら曇ってしまいました

イオがSEBを経過中でした。
NEBのめがねループは、左目がつぶれたように小さくなってしまいました。
シーイングが良く、SSTBに拡散したA2と小さなA3が見えました。
もう一枚行きたかったのですが、雲が湧いてきて断念しました。

ひまわり画像で、日本海のすじ雲が無く、予想以上の良気流でした。
１枚目の衛星の影は、イオです。
NTB以北のベルトは目立ちません

久しぶりにシーイングが良かったので撮ってみました。

With Jupiter being an evening object I have been trying to image the planet
before the Sun goes down to have the planet at a reasonable altitude. However,
I have been struggling to get anything usable. Being summertime here,
the heat of the day has meant the OTA is warm and,
despite running a pedestal fan for a couple of hours before imaging,
the planet has typically been awash with turbulence.
Last evening I took a large wet towel and wrapped it around the back of the OTA,
having taped the vent holes to prevent moisture ingress.
I left the fan blowing for a couple of hours to provide substantial evaporative cooling.
This worked and I was able to avoid the thermals coming off the mirror disrupting the planet's image on the sensor.
In the evening the seeing can often be very good in the 15 mins or so before sunset,
when convection from the land to the sky weakens.
This is exactly what I found. For a short window just before sunset,
that allowed me to capture 2x IR & RGB runs,the seeing was really good. Later,
after the seeing deteriorated I was able to get a fair CH4 image.
The shadow transit captured is that of Io.

風の弱い静かな快晴ですがシーイングは不良。撮影後、全天雲に覆われてしまいました

Two RGB’s,separated by an hour,an IR and CH4 from yesterday evening as the turbulent NEB section
and quite prominent dark feature on the NEBs which has attracted some interest were in transit.
The dark feature is quite dramatic in the IR.
I also note the light clouds on the northern edge of the NEB.
In processing the B images,I note that there is a subtle second belt in the NTB region.
An interesting comparison with Niall’s recently circulated image set from one rotation earlier.
Cloud is forecast for the next few days,so I may be unable to image.
