Finally some decent images of Jupiter. Seeing was better today but transparency was very poor due to clouds.
I was not able to capture a methane band image because the sky was already overcast!
The GRS is setting on the right. The wake is very active. Oval BA can be seen on the left.
It is still pale but a little shade of orange. The NEB is narrow in this region.
Note the bright spot on the NEBn. NE of the bright spot is a reddish extension to the NTrZ.

Low altitude images as I was at the wrong end of an all-nighter,but quite decent seeing for the 25deg alt.
GRS is in transit, with a subdued wake. There is some activity along the NEBs as in the last couple of years,
but the EZ finally looks to be more or less completely pale again (?) - Jupiter is wearing its more traditional two-striped outfit in 2023.
Oval BA is rising, preceded by a large dark STB segment stretching to the GRS.
With it being the first outing of my new camera, there were some experimental IR shots at the end,
the last at longer focal length and a little sharper as Jupiter rose.

Woke up and imaged Mercury.
While waiting for Mercury to rise I imaged Jupiter low in the east at about 25 degrees above the horizon.
To my surprise a Transit of Io was in progress. I love shadow transits!
Seeing was good, however, at this low latitude it was only average. Totally clear skies, transparency was good.
Not too bad considering the low altitude.
