Conditions were just about acceptable this morning,which kept me going in anticipation of a period of improvement.
Unfortunately,it never really arrived! The RGB was the last,and best,as sunrise was approaching.
Oval BA was setting at lower right,and a dark reddish streamer is seen in the SEB.
IR data was again the best,and the session did at least give me quite a bit of data for the DeTect project,
as well as another dataset for my seeing condition investigation.

Had good to very good seeing conditions this morning,with very high
humidity. Transparency was below average.
Europa's disk can be seen on the IR and CH4 images.

雲が激しく流れる夜で気流も乱れていました

予報が外れて快晴の夜になり、今夏一番と思われる良いシーイングでした。
NEBの拡幅部にある大きな明部が目立ちます。昨年、細いNEBの北縁にあったループ模様です。
NEBが復活して幅を広げたため、今ではすっかりベルト内部の模様になってしまいました。
他にもループの生き残りがいくつかあります。
昨年はNEBnの模様として分類していましたが、今シーズンはNEBZの模様として扱おうと考えています。
4時ごろになって雲が湧き、怪しい雲行きになってきましたので、早めに撤収しました。

3時頃すっきり晴れ上がり付きの横に鮮やかな木星が輝き美しい景色に見とれてい
ました。間もなく雲がわき雲間からの撮影になりました。

Please find attached an observation of Jupiter made on the 7th August.
Even though the planet was some way of culminating,it is nice to see the planet at much greater altitudes than in previous years.
Seeing was around AIII and there was a considerable amount of dew.
A number of interesting things were apparent on the disk:
- The STB - SSTB seemed to be somewhat confused with sections of belts present at different latitudes.
Oval BA seemed to be fairly prominent but with no orange colour detected.
- There seemed to be a broad belt close to the GRS which appeared to 'squash' the STropZ
- GRS was seen but close to the proceeding limb. It didn't appear to be particularly striking.
- SEB broad and contained a lot of details- two bright regions immediately following the GRS.
Parts ot the SEBz dark.
- EZ nowhere near as active as previously. A few festoons noted but they were quite faint.
No sign of the yellowish colour which was present in the EZ before.
- The NEB is now quite broad with a number of interesting details seen within.
The northern edge of the NEB is not uniform but contains a series of curved structures some of which may extend into the NTropZ
- The NTropZ was a bright zone,white in colour.
- The NTB(s) appeared as a very faint thin grey band. No real evidence of the NNTB
- NPR vague but contained some faint structures.
In future observations,intensity estimates in white light will be made.

Hi all,here are two images of Jupiter from this morning in poor seeing.
A question came up a few days ago about the difference between colour
and IR images in poor seeing so I thought I would capture and process a
colour image alongside the IR for this session in conditions where I
wouldn't normally do this. The difference in detail is pretty evident,
the 750nm longpass filter shows a good amount of detail even when the
conditions are too poor to see much in the colour image.

今朝も珍しく快晴、風があるのは高台のせいでしょう！
木星は明け方には真上になりした。
木星面ではGRSが見え内部の芯がわかります。GRSから前方（左）へと細いベルトが伸びています。
