A late start for me this morning,and conditions were rapidly deteriorating.
Only one usable RGB set and a few IR’s,before seeing totally disintegrated before I could catch any CH4 or UV.

雨が降った後で、湿気と低空の雲が流れる中でした。
SEB内のバージを含む茶色の細いスジが以前から目立ってますね。

Hi all,another morning of steady seeing with strong jetstream blurring.
Only the 750nm longpass filter was usable this morning,there was little
to no contrast in any other filter. I recorded 11 images of Jupiter
while the shadow transit of Europa was in progress and combined them in
Winjupos to get the attached image. The GRS has just set at lower right.

ユーロパが通過中でした。画像で衛星がやけにいびつな形と思いましたがSSTBのA4(?)と重なっているためでした。
NEBsには衛星より明るいプルームが見えます。
リフトの様子や太さなどSEBとNEBは赤道を挟んでほぼ対称形です。

東方から断続的に飛来する雲の隙間を縫っての撮影。気流は不安定で
時折驚くようなシーイングの悪化を呈します。エウロパの影が通過中。

この日はほぼ曇りでしたが、雲の隙間から数セット撮影ができました。
シーイングもわりと良かったので、ちょっと残念な感じです。

ルーチン画像 CH４（メタン画像）の明るい所が気になります。

Please find attached an observation of Jupiter made in excellent conditions on the morning of 4th September.
There were a number of interesting features:
- In drawing 1,the SSTB and STB have a fragmented appearance and are not uniform straight bands.
By the time of drawing two a white oval and and bright spot could be seen at these latitudes.
- SEB quite broad. The appearance changes at longitudes near the GRS- as can be seen in drawing two,
there is a dark brownish SEB(s) component which moves northwards under the GRS.
There seems to be two belts to the north of SEB(s)- a darker greyish band in the SEBz and a fainter band which presumably is the SEB(N).
- The GRS was quite prominent tonight,the colour fairly strong.
I could make out a small dark core at the centre of the spot.
- Interestingly the EZ was a little more active tonight.
There were a number of bluish festoons along with a couple of brighter patches visible.
- NEB quite active with what appeared to be lighter sections or rifts visible and by the time of drawing 2,
some irregular patches along the northern boundary.
- The next belt to the north is presumably the NNTB?
Anyhow it was fairly dark and uniform in drawing 1 but seemed to fade away as longitude increased in drawing 2.

Here are some preliminary images (on a rain-less gap,with average seeing)
just to optimize the imaging setup,prior to obtaining this year's Jupiter
photometric data needed for an ongoing work.
Three methane band filters and respective continuum were used,and
"symmetric" grabbing (CH4-continnuum-CH4) followed by WinJUPOS derotation
was used to ascribe the same CM values to images that were later on
subjected to math operations. Images were only linearly stretched (no
Galilean satellite albedo calibration yet),so no subtraction data is
presented,only image ratios. No image processing was used prior to image
ratio calculation,though slight sharpening was applied to posted data (as
no quantitative results were in mind). Please see image for filter info and
data interpretation.
