The severe seeing did not improve with altitude, due to the cold air flow.

We had a rather transparent clear night here last night and even though the jet stream was above us,the seeing was rather good.
Attached are three drawings I made of Jupiter in good conditions.
Io and its shadow were in transit at the start of the observation.
Points of interest from the three drawings are as follows:
- SS3TB - STB seen, fragmentary in places and some white ovals in this region
- STropB seems to be present by the time of drawing 3.
- In drawing 3,the Great Red Spot can be seen, there was a boundary of dark material surrounding the spot.
- SEB still quite active with some interesting features seen within it.
- EZ bright,a number of festoons observed in the region, bluish in colour.
A number of brilliant spots seen on the NEBs/EZ boundary. Yellowish colour to the EZ in some places.
- NEB rather active- lots of evidence of rifts, also brighter bays and a dark barge observed.
- NTropZ bright and white in colour.
- Is the NTB returning? There was a faint bluish band visible at these longitudes which looks like the NTB.
- NNTB with a lighter zone present to the north at certain longitudes.
Intensity estimates taken at 0054UT in integrated light. Seeing started to fall off at 0310UT so closed down for the night.

I was able to image Jupiter on October 15th UT,at an L3 close to 125
degrees, where the Juno Probe would have crossed the equator during PJ-55
some hours earlier . The seeing was fair and I rated it 6 out of 10. The
timing was good in that the planet was close to its zenith, although that
was only 41 degrees at my latitude, given Jupiter's northerly position on
the Ecliptic. However,I was able to generate reasonable RGB & IR images
with a timestamp of 15:14UT,so quite close to 14:57UT when the L3 of 125
degrees was at the Central Meridian. I then went on to produce a CH4 Band
image with a time stamp of 15:44UT.
Using WinJUPOS I rotated each capture to a timestamp of 14:57UT,so that
the features relevant to the probe's equatorial cross are at,or close to,
the Central Meridian.
I forgot to mention the quite bright spot visible in the NEB,which is also
methane bright, which is quite central to the equatorial crossing point of
the probe
