An unexpected cloud break offered one of the best opportunities I experienced to observe Mars during the last five to seven monthes. Seeing was unusually stable and live view on the screen offered lots of detail - even in the NPC! This found confirmation in the processed images. I could discern at least three if not four different parts of the NPC. A very bright central region and one less bright part left and maybe even two right from this with a visible gap at the rightern parts (best seen in green image).
Hazy clouds in the south show structure.
