Cleared up after three days of clouds and rain. Clear and hazy during the first two images then clouds and fog thickened by the blue interference filter image. No Color or IR images were possible due to thickening clouds. Lucky I successfully obtained the blue clearing images. Still a 3.
Blue clearing is a visual phenomenon,thus a UV-IR cut filter is essential so that only 400nm-700nm wavelengths pass through to the #47 violet filter and reach the monochrome CMOS chip. This is the digital equivalent of what the human eye would see. All three images are essentially identical. If blue clearing were not occurring,the violet/blue images would be gray and not show any transparency or albedo features. Check out the videos I made so you can see the raw video as well as the aligned only image. Do not sharpen.
Is anyone else witnessing transparency/albedo features in the blue/violet image?
