A first reasonable view of Jupiter after solar conjunction for me.
Having had a wonderful naked eye view from the summit of the Gamsberg earlier in the week of Mercury and Jupiter rising,
I was keen to attempt Jupiter from the observatory. However strong winds the last few days prevented any attempt.
Things were calmer this morning, and I was able to capture a series of IR>685 SERfs. Jupiter was at 17 deg altitude,
and the result is +-17 mins after sunrise. I was rather surprised with the outcome,
given that there was very strong Jetstream conditions, and with the planet well north (+20 deg Dec).
Anyway, itfs a start!
