If nothing else,I am finding fairly consistent and reasonable seeing conditions over the last few mornings. M Sirenum is above left of centre,and M Cimmerium above right of centre. Phaethontis,Electris and Eridania are above them. Amazonis dominates the lower section of the planet. Possibly a hint of some cloud in the north.[Clyde Foster : Khomas,Namibia]

So this was my first planetary image of 2024 - and my smallest diameter Mars yet. Good seeing, so there are a few details on the 4.6" disk. Vallis Marineris is near the centre of the view, and darker Mare Erythraeum dominates the lower half of the image above the bright south polar cap. Definitely more detail than I was expecting in the good seeing. Not sure if that would be a little dust left of centre? Am somewhat inclined to think it's just a brighter patch of the paler terrain?[Andy Casely,Sydney,Australiaa]
