Here are my Jupiter submissions from last night, documenting the NTr disturbance under very good seeing conditions.
Similar to my previous submission, the IR image was captured before midnight UT on Jan. 11
[Mike Karakas : Winnipeg Canada]

Kiyoto Mashima,Naha,Okinawa,Japan]
自作のカセグレン(26pF15)鏡筒で撮影した。上2画像は直焦点。
下1画像は2倍バーローレンズ使用。
軸調整がかなり追い込めたので,昨夜より細部が写った。

[Nicolas Delaunoy : Yerres,France]

May I first congratulate my friends further north for some wonderful images of the new outbreak.
I did attempt a session covering the transit of the outbreak on the 12 January, despite poor conditions.
[Clyde Foster : Khomas,Namibia]
We had clear skies and reasonable good seeing here on 12th January and I was able to make two observations of Jupiter:
Drawing 1: 1832UT
Quite a lot of detail on the disk even at a power of x188. Points of interest were:
- S3TB-STB: quite structured with a lot of fine detail visible
- SEB: Very broad and somewhat chaotic.
The SEB(s) was greyish and appears to undulate, the SEBz is orange and contains a number of irregular lighter sections. SEB(n) is somewhat ill defined- a series of vague bluish grey regions in places.
- EZ: very active with a number of very striking blue festoons seen. The regions enclosed are usually much brighter than the rest of the EZ.
- NEB: Very broad and contains a lot of structure. A lot of rifts in evidence and a number of brighter spots.
- NTZ: a whiteish coloured zone
- NTB: Not really seen.
- NNTB: Also absent except for a small dark brown section
Drawing 2: 2035UT
Seeing has now improved further and is around AI- II,as a result a power of x230 can be used:
- S3TB - STB: Not as much activity here as in drawing 1. One white oval observed.
- SEB: Very broad and active.
The main point of interest here is the SEB disturbance which can be clearly seen towards the following limb.
Some of the irregular white patches within are quite bright.
- EZ: Continues to be very active with many striking festoons observed.
- NEB: Again quite broad with a lot of structure
- NTZ: A bright elongated patch was observed- I took this to be the outbreak in the NTBs.
It consisted of a single elongated bright patch-the bluish material on the prec.
side was darker and provides a nice contrast.
- NNTB: A darker brown section was present here.
