Hi all, good seeing yesterday evening. This curious feature is very dark in UV but is as well CH4 bright
(same coordinates at +23°N and L1 = 77°).
Globally, the orange flush of the southern NTB behaves like other strong red colorations
and indicates high and colored clouds (just like the EZ band in 2021),
however, this is supposed to be a belt not a zone... latitudes of the orange band is ~+23 to +28° N.
For curiosity I built a false color image with only UV and CH4 ; the whole NTBs is popping out in deep orange...
(there is also a strange red feature in the STrZ)

We had reasonable seeing conditions on the 30th March and I was able to make an observation of Jupiter.
The planet is now starting to get lower in the sky by the time darkness arrives,
but there are still a number of interesting things on the disk:
- The S3TB and SSTB could be seen- there were a couple of faint white ovals present here
- STB was seen on the prec. side and was a brownish colour but the belt stopped just before the CM.
- SEB quite interesting- the SEBz is very light and there were a number of dark sections present.
- EZ not very active, some festoons seen but they were rather faint- an EB was present.
- NEB broad and active, there seemed to be a large rift in the southern part of the belt.
There were brilliant white regions in the NTropZ which extended into the NEB.
- NTB(S) visible but not particularly dark or striking and appeared a light brownish colour.
No sign of the NTB(N).
- NNTB visible as a golden band.
