Conditions were challenging today. Seeing was very unstable due to the low altitude of Jupiter.
These images were captured using a QHY5III585M camera.
The GRS is close to the CM. Io is on the left transiting over the wake of the GRS.
Below Io is Oval BA which is lost to the STB. The area east of the GRS looks strange.
Is this an effect of the interaction between the GRS and Oval BA. Unfortunately the conjunction of Oval BA
and the GRS will be happening soon with Jupiter very close to the sun!
Note the reddish oval streak on the NTrZ just past the CM. This feature is bright in methane band.

Please find attached an observation of Jupiter I made on 24th April in good conditions.
There was a number of interesting points to see on the disk:
- S3TB and SSTB seen but not a lot of complex detail in this region.
- STB visible and quite dark for much of it's length at these longitudes.
- The GRS is very itneresting. It is quite small but there seemed to be darker material surrounding it. In particular there seems to be a darker greyish STropB in contact with the GRS and very close to the STB.
- SEB quite rboad. The SEB(s) seems to be a dark brown and prassed down under the GRS.
There is a lighter SEBz and a thin darker less well defined SEB(n).
- EZ contains a number of festoons and an EB.
- NEB is quite broad and gain shows a number of complex details. The northern edge contains a number of brighter bays.
- NTropZ contains some brighter spots which presumably are still related to the NTB revival.
- NTB(s) seen and a light brown in colour.
- NNTB also seems to be visible.
Also included is a drawing showing the satellite configuration.
I have included it as it provided quite a nice opportunity to see the different tones to the four main Galilean satellites.
