Hi all,
We had clear skies here last night and I made an observation of Jupiter.
Seeing was only AIII but this deteriorated as Jupiter approached the zenith as the jet stream was located at this point.
A number of interesting details were observed:
Drawing 1: Europa close to the following limb
- SPR: A well defined greyish region,a faint S3TB seen.
- SSTB: A belt which contained three white ovals.
- STB: A dark grey belt which wasn't uniform. There seemed to be a bright spot which interrupted the STB on the prec side.
- SEB: A broad belt with two main dark components. The SEBz also seems to contain darker sections.
- EZ: This regions seems to be a lot quieter at these longitudes. A thin EB was seen and some faint festoons.
- NEB: The belt seems to be a little less broad than before. There are a lot of rifts and brighter spots present.
- NTB: A this somewhat slightly irregular belt at these longitudes
- NNTB: Seen in fragments.
- NPR: A rather vague ill defined region.
Drawing 2:
- SPR: A well defined grey region
- SSTB: Interesting region and the white ovals A4 and A5 were visible along with brighter sections
- STB: A dark belt which seems to come to a stop not far after the GRS.
- GRS: Visible near the fol. limb. The spot is now quite small but contains a orange-pink colour
- SEB: Still a broad belt- there seems to be three darker components. The SEB(s) curves down under the GRS.
The RSH seems to be fairly obvious; Some brighter regions immediately following the GRS.
- EZ: More active at these longitudes with a number of dark bluish festoons seen.
- NEB: Very active at these longitudes with a lot of rifts seen. NEBn is rather irregular along the edge of the belt.
- NTB and NNTB seem to be a little more uniform at these longitudes
- NPR: A vague ill defined area.
By 0010UT the seeing fell away and became quiet hopeless,further observations were abandoned for the night.

寒気の底に入ったようで、南中前はとても良いシーイングでした。
NEBがリフトだらけです。北縁ではWS6が明るく後方のバージも目立ちます。
白斑＋後方のバージのセットは、WSZや後方の白斑でも見られます。
それにしても寒かった

夜半前からシーイングが改善しました。ガニメデが本体裏から出現し遠ざかる光景でした
