Here is a Mars report performed on last 14th using the 150ED refractor.
Images were good on periods under a transparent sky.
I focused on the area noted (1), Tempe area where a brightening appeared at the terminator, that was evaluated using color filters and no filter.
Here are the notes about:
Mars observations on 14th february, Tempe area (noted (1)) on the sketch
Brightenesses reported were growing with the planet rotation using the R, WF, Y filters,
Less bright using B and G filters.
Seeing it was fading to be S:5/10 after 21H20UT.
On 21H35 seeing was 7/10 and after 21H43UTthe brightness using R filter was almost confidential, but still with WF, less bright with B and G filters but significantly higher than with the R filter.
Brightnesses versus filters kept these tendencies after. Bed at 23H00UT.
This would suggest a high ratio of dust in the Tempe cloud (noted 1) in spite of the whitish appearance noted with WF, this needs to be surveyed to see if this ratio will increase.
Tempe is statistically a site for dust events (to-day LS 45°).
The Mars color was:
Creamy orange with the naked eye,
Yellow-orange of the disk color at the eyepiece (G 150-210x).
Globally, the contrast levels are seen fainter on the equatorial and tropical zones.
The limb and the terminator looked bright whitish globally.
WF: without filter
W80A: blue filter B
W56: green filter G
W21: yellow-green filter YG
W12: yellow filter Y
W23A: light red filter R.
Maybe this evening to see an evolution of this status.
