With fair seeing but worsening high clouds only limited data was obtained before being clouded out.
The morning clouds are still prominent,
and the two small clouds noted at the evening limb would be near the western edge of Syrtis Major.

We had very good seeing conditions for much of the night and I was able to see a lot of detail on Mars:
Drawing 1: 2041UT, x319, CM: 290.3°
The Syrtis Major was close to the CM. In the far south the Hellas basin could be seen but it was not particularly bright. On the preceding limb, part of Eridania can be seen and this was a little brighter than Hellas, possibly due to bright clouds in the basin. The Mare Tyrrhenum was quite dark and showed some interesting structure. Mare Hadriacum was quite dark with subtle variations in Posidium Prom. Yaonis Regio was quite light.
Syrtis Major was quite striking- there seemed to be a bright patch/cloud in Libya, while Syrtis Major itself had a strong bluish tint which was very noticeable. Brightness and subtle variations were observed ion Aeria and the regions up to Syrtis Major which gave Syrtis a kind of 'halo' effect in good seeing.
To the north, Cassius and Umbra were quite dark with a streak in Boreosyrtis and Protonilus. The north polar cap is still brilliant and a Lowell band could be observed.
Drawing 2: 2206UT, x319. CM: 311°
Syrtis Major is now moving towards the preceding limb. The preceding limb now appears to be brighter and the brightness on the limb is extending into the Hellas basin suggesting the presence of evening clouds. Syrtis Major is still very prominent and the bluish tint remains quite strong.
Sinus Sabeus can now be seen extending across the disk. The Deucalions region is lighter and Pandorae Fretum can be made out and was distinct from Sinus Sabaeus. Noachis can also be seen as a distinct region but not particularly well defined. The northern polar cap is brilliant and again a Lowell band can be observed.
By 2208UT the seeing had started to drop off somewhat and so Mars observations were concluded.
