I'm pleased to say that I finally got the chance to observe a full rotation of Jupiter in one night! Seeing conditions were only around AIII with very transparent skies and a number of interesting details could be seen on the disk. This is the first time I've ever attempted this observation; one has to time it right some that Jupiter can be observed for 10 hours straight and of course the seeing conditions have to be reasonable. I have used System 3 (the internal rotation of the planet) as this seems to be commonly used in modern maps of Jupiter. Delighted to have finally managed to do this!![]()
