Dear all Venus observers-

Venus was imaged again in UV light on June 22nd 23:30 UT. The seeing was above average but not perfect as the night before. There was haze in the sky but Venus was still bright enough for imaging.
Again, Venus is showing two dark bands. The one in the north is much darker and thicker while the southern band is smaller and closer to the terminator. I played a short animation of three nights (June 20th, 21st & 22nd) and I have a sense that it is rotating from the limb to the terminator.
Secondly, the southern hemisphere dark band on my May 23rd image may be the same as with the June 21st image.
Venus had rotated exactly 7 times and displaying the same band in the southern hemisphere. It must huge long lasting feature.
Lets see what Venus may look like on Monday night ( if it is clear).

Regards,

Dear all Venus observers-
I thought you may like to see this. In fact,
we may need more simultaneous observations in the near future.
This is a perfect example between visually and imaging at the same time.
As of now in UV light, Venus displays some unusual markings especially in the southern hemisphere.
More later...

Regards,
