The solar-eclips of today, oct 3, partial in the Netherlands was very poor visible at my location in the South of the country, due
to clouds and haze.Though,in a sparing break in the clouds, I was able to shoot this image with a Sony TRV740E videocamera
from hand.Time: 09:39 UTC.

Here is the first of several mail with some high resolution photographs taken by David Tyler and Myself in Madrid, Spain on October 3rd. Weather conditions for this Annular were perfect, with 100% clear sky. We were stationed on the centerline of the eclipse track and experienced 4m 11s of annularity.
All photopgrahs were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 4300 handheld to the eyepeice of a Takahashi FC-60 at around 20x.
I will send further data this weekend as time permits further processing.
For now this image showing the Sun 12 mins before mid-eclipse caught my eye :-).

Here is an animation of the Annular Eclipse of October 3rd. All images by Tyler/Peach with a 60mm refractor and Nikon 4300.

Here is a short close-up animation of third contact. This was more spectacular than second contact, as this region of the Moon was more mountainous as third contact occured around the lunar region of the Cordilera mountains that surround Mare Orientale.
Third contact was also spectacular visually, seen by many using binoculars.

Here is a close-up animation of second contact. This was less dramatic than third contact but exciting none the less :-).
