A series of 3-filter LRGB images from last night. My best result this apparition. Seeing was very good. (The weather charts looked exactly as they should for excellent seeing, according to Damian's thinking outlined in JBAA 2006 Feb - pressure stable,no wind at ground level, wind at the 300mB level below 20 m/s. There were bands of non-moving high cloud in the earlier part of the night, but they disappeared after 02:00,or merged into a more general slight haze. At 22 deg. alt, there was significant turbulence, but images were much sharper than usual.)
Each colour of each image has 120s exposure at 10fps,1/33rd,approx. 2/3rds of images stacked.
The strong colour difference between the NEB and SEB is interesting.

Here are observations of Io,rotating from behind Jupiter into view obtained on March 23 in
near infra-red light(760-1000nm)
Altitude above the horizon only 15 degrees, seeing fair.(maximum altitude this year from location: 22 degrees)

this is an animated overview from 04:13--04:29 UTC taken at 670-1000nm

Attached are near-IR shots of Jupiter at around CM3=100 on March 23 (altitude 15 degrees, seeing poor-fair).

Attached is additional work from March 23 (Jupiter). In negative, especially the vert.
SEB rifts are obvious, see also animated GIF.

Attached are observations from Jupiter, March 23,on structures in the NPR as seen in near-IR light.(shown here at neg)
This as continuator of the observations I did previous season on these structures.
