If anyone has trouble locating this planet after losing it's beacon guide - Jupiter - of last apparition; and not wanting to resort to setting circles or Goto gadgetry, I suggest the following: In the Circlet of Pisces locate lambda Psc then centre 21 Psc (2 deg. SE) in the finder and sweep eastward (c. 6 deg) in R.A. and Uranus will be the first object you come to of similar brightness to 21 Psc. Further east is similarly bright 44 Psc but it's orange colour is readily seen in 30-50mm finders.
