Seeing was fair this evening. Finally able to catch Mars this season.
The Tharsis Volcanic Region is prominent in these images. The largest volcano in the solar system,Olympus Mons can be seen at the center of Mars. The North Polar caps are breaking up. The clouds on the 3 Tharsis volcanoes are prominent to the right of Olympus Mons. Clouds are also visible on top of Arcadia.

The NPC rift remains prominent. Clouds were conspicuous over Syrtis Major and on the AM limb. Chryse hazes were still present.

I had some very good seeing here on this night just a few days before close approach. Syrtis Major was nicely presented with Elysium orographic cloud very prominent. NPC outlier Olympia (Lemuria) is prominent detached from the cap. There is also some yellowish colour in the NPC area (possibly some dust?) The Boreo Syrtis feature rather reminds me of an Octopus!

Seeing not nearly as good as the great seeing the night before though still a few decent periods. Brilliant Elysium orographic cloud.

Seeing was very good. Hellas looks brilliant with a notable weak equatorial cloud band across the disk.

This set makes a great comparison with and image set obtained exactly one month before in excellent seeing

Note how Hellas only had a few wispy clouds over it the month before. NPC is also larger with no rift visible. Also interesting how much difference the extra 1.4" of diameter makes to the image scale and resolution.
