Wayne Jaeschke(356mm SCT)
Watching Mars' closest
approach for the year. Despite the CSC prediction of 1/5 seeing, the Unisys
maps were showing that the bulk of the jet stream had dipped south a bit. As
a result, the seeing wasn't all that bad (maybe 3-4/10 most of the night)!
However,I was cleaning my camera sensor and filters and had setup the rig
at f/30 to do some lunar imaging in anticipation of the poor seeing,so the
scale is somewhat smaller than my previous images for this apparition.

The Syrtis Major hemisphere is showing and Syrtis Major itself has a bit of
a blue tint to it,Huygens is apparent, and Hellas shows its customary haze.

Sean Walker(317mm Newton)
Good seeing this evening. Clouds over Elysium and within Hellas. Apparent dust event spilling off the NPC.

Christopher Go (355mm SC)
Seeing was a bit unstable today. There were clouds in the sky.
Mars is less cloudy today. Olympus Mons can be seen on the center left. The Tharsis Volcanic Region is at the CM. Not a lot of clouds on top of the volcanoes here.
Solis Lacus is setting on the lower right. The Northern Polar Cap is shrinking.
